Kyle Oller speech

Team

Game based learning is one of the best ways for kids to learn.  It allows kids to learn in a different way than just listening to someone talk.  It is a hands on way to learn also.  It helps keep kids interested and gives them something to look forward to.  Also, it helps them with their communication skills.  Kids learn more when what they are doing has goals.  Most all kids are competitive and want to win.  It always makes kids work harder if there is a winner.  Kids also like to work in groups than by themselves.  if they work in groups that means they must communicate and that makes their communication skills better.  Game based learning is going to be the way teachers teach in the future.  Speed is going to help a lot because it will allow students to work quicker.  They will not have to wait around for the game based learning tool to load.  Kids like when stuff moves fast which is going to make them want to work even more.

chapter 5

One of the big things about chapter five is that teacher need to interact with their students.  This is called collaboration which is one of the 8 norms.  This helps the students out more because most students like interacting to learn.  The students also need to work together to learn.  I think working together with other people is also a lot better because they may have a different view of things than you do.
